Maybe because the British people live on an island with a permanent roof of grey clouds and heavy rain all year round, is the reason why they are considered special people. Or maybe because they simply feel different from the rest of Europe is what makes them unique and creative too.
The British creativity is shown through a variety of forms of art and incredible inventions, which our junior school students researched on.
First graders investigated on British Children’s Movies such as Mary Poppins, Paddington Bear, Harry Potter, among others.
2nd grades explored the rich world of music, presenting famous bands and singers like Adele, Dua Lipa, Queen, etc
But not only the British have been outstanding artists, they have also been great inventors. Did you know that they created the toothbrush, the TV set, the telephone, and even the world wide web (www)? Well 3rd grades showed great British inventions and inventors during the British Week.
4th grades on the other hand, researched on British paintings and sculptures, what we call the visual arts.
5th grades explored the British television programmes, shows and series. The popular Britain’s got Talent, series like Sherlock Holmes or the funny Mr. Beans.
Last but not least, 6th grades researched on British Modern Architecture, including bridges, skyscrapers and the London Eye, the biggest observation wheel in the world.
